| | Touching story on Iraq war veterans | | On ESPN there was a touching story about Iraq veterans who came back home with Post traumatic Stress. They used fly fishing to overcome this and overall made me want to try fly fishing. Has anyone else seen this story or and avid fisherman. | |
| | The Law of Attraction: Believe in it? | | Do you believe in the Law of Attraction? Basically it says that what you put out there is what you get back and that like attracts like, want attracts want, ect. Following this law, if you believe that you will have success then you will have it but you have to set yourself to a very specific defenition of what that success will be to you in order to get it, like a goal. According to this law you have to clearly know what you want and take steps towards it and life will bring it to you. So bascially you get what you put your energy and focus on, posative or negative. I think that part of it is what makes the most sense to me and I think your outlook and attitude towards life can really make the difference in what happens in your life. A lesson that I easily preach but rarely follow! | |

| | Diversifying. | | I've been fishing for a couple of years now. I started by fishing for trout with worms and power-bait, and progressed on to sea-fishing. I still enjoy fishing for trout but would like to try fly fishing.Have you tried fishing with this 'fluff chucking' method? | | What's your guilty TV secret? | | Go on, everybody has one. Is there something that you love watching, but you'd never admit it to your family or friends? Are you addicted to Big Brother? Never miss an episode of teenage drama 90210, (even though you're 57)? Okay, there's nothing wrong with that really, but maybe you feel the need to hide this from the people that know you...? Do you love those plastic surgery shows? Or programmes about fly-fishing or trains?I used to be a Big Brother addict, but the novelty wore off a few years ago. Now I'm a closet "Next Top Model" fan. I'll watch any version. So far I've seen the American, British, Canadian and Australian versions, and if they start to show equivalents from any other countries I shall no doubt be watching them too! I don't know why I love it so much. I'm not at all into fashion or make-up, shoes or bags, and the idea of buying the designer clothes that all the potential models faun over sickens me to the core. But I do find it entertaining, I suppose I like to mock some of the contestants for their values (I know, I'm bad, lol!), I love the fact that there are girls I will love and girls I will hate ( - they cast it that way I'm sure), and I like... | |
