Frog Mountain Curriculum Project Proposal $10,700

The project coordinators are designing an educational tool to promote knowledge with understanding of Sinixt history and existence utilizing, as it's central component, THE FROG MOUNTAIN STORY: Land Survival legend of the Sinixt Peoples. The Frog Mountain Story is a true Sinixt land survival story passed from one generation to the next through oral presentation. Supplementary components are being developed to assist educators in adapting specified resource materials for appropriate and productive use within educational settings. Sinixt Elders and Sinixt youth are actively involved in the development of audio-visual aids for inclusion in the educational package. Sinixt Elders will have the opportunity to critique the final draft of the project prior to its release for public use by April, 2000.
