Golden Festival of Birds & Bears $5,750

The East Kootenay Environmental Society (EKES) will be upgrading the Bird Watching Edu-Kit for use in the annual Golden Festival of Birds & Bears. The festival is scheduled for May 10th to 14th, 2000 in Golden, BC.

The educational kits (Edu-Kits) include binoculars, bird identification guide books, mounted birds and bird parts, bluebird nesting boxes and an activity guide for teachers. The kit provides teachers and youth group leaders with resource material to introduce children to birds and give them the basic skills they need to enjoy bird watching.
