Columbia River Community Greenways Project $13,550

Columbia River Community Greenways (CRCG) is an environmental stewardship and education project that will result in positive environmental, social and economic gains for the project's host communities. The CRCG is a project with long range vision and objectives. Initially, the project will focus on development of Greenways stewardship/education messages and objectives, build community capacity to achieve these objectives through a community greenways training workshop, plan CRCG networks, and confirm commitments from partners to implement the networks. The CRCG is proposed in response to an identified need by Columbia River communities to develop long term community assets in the form of greenways, Greenspace, Ecologically Significant Areas, habitat restoration and involvement of citizens in a way that contributes to the environmental, social and economical sustainability of the communities.
