Bighorn
in Our Backyard: Communities Working for Wildlife
From
November to April each year since 1997, more than 20 volunteers
from the community of Radium collect data on the Radium-Stoddart
Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep herd. With $9,400 in funding from
CKFRP, the project will continue its efforts. The data collected
is used to assist in community planning and restoration initiatives
in the Radium-Stoddart bighorn winter range.
