Columbia Kootenay Fisheries Renewal Partnership

Crawford Creek Stewardship Program

Students at Crawford Bay Elementary-Secondary School will research and monitor restoration work on lower Crawford Creek. Senior students will be trained in monitoring water quality and quantity before teaching elementary students to do the same. The aim of the program is to have older students positively affect the younger students' attitudes toward protecting and restoring watersheds. The program, with $2,480 in funding from CKFRP, is set to begin in September when senior students will begin research and training.
