Hospital Creek Stewardship

The Golden District Rod & Gun Club, with $700 in funding from CKFRP, will install a temporary fish passage on Hospital Creek at the Highway #1 culvert to determine if kokanee will use upstream spawning habitat. Human uses in and near Hospital Creek have affected water quantity and quality as well as instream and creekside habitat. This project aims to increase public awareness about the creek's sensitivity and improve conditions through restoration and protection efforts.
