Salmo River Bull Trout Radio Telemetry

Radio-tagged trout in the Salmo River will be tracked for a third year with $6,000 in funding from CKFRP. Currently, 20 trout are tagged so biologists can identify critical habitat for possible future protection and enhancement. These tags are expected to last another year. This project provides funding for three flights to track the trout from the air, and local community volunteers and students will be included.
