Wings
Over the Rockies Bird Festival $5,000
Wings Over the Rockies
The
Wings Over The Rockies Bird Festival is a 7-day event that celebrates
the wonder of the Columbia River Wetlands and the bird that
stop over there during their migration north. The festival includes
high quality educational events that are creative, entertaining
and fun. The theme of the 2003 festival (our 7th year) is “More
Than a Marsh” and emphasizes water issues.
Robert Bateman – artist and Wings festival patron –
summarized the festival when he said “Wings Over The Rockies
Bird Festival conjures up an image of all that is great about
Canada…. spectacular scenery, abundant nature and a warm
spirit of getting together in a worthy cause. It will be transforming
to the people and therefore to the protection of nature”
