Restoring East Kootenay Grasslands for Plants, Animals & People - $8,000

This communications project will:

1. Inform the public about the environmental, economic and social costs of disappearing grasslands in the East Kootenay.

2. Increase public awareness of the grasslands restoration program on the low-elevation Crown lands of the East Kootenay.

3. Strengthen the capacity of the Trench Society to undertake results-based ecosystem restoration for the benefit of grasslands-dependent plants, animals and people in the East Kootenay.
The project is necessary to build broad-based support and funding for grasslands restoration in the East Kootenay.
