Wings
Over the Rockies - $2,000
Wings Over the Rockies Bird
Festival is a 7-day event that celebrates the wonder of the
Columbia River Wetlands and the birds that stop over during
their migration north. The festival includes high quality, educational
events that are creative, entertaining and fun. The theme of
the 2004 festival (our 8th year) is "Nature's Orchestra"
and emphasizes the 'music' of the natural world.
Robert
Bateman, artist and Wings festival patron, summarized the festival
when he said,"Wings Over the Rockies Bird Festival conjures
up an image of all that is great about Canada... spectacular
scenery, abundant nature and a warm spirit of getting together
in a worthy cause. It will be transforming to the people and,
therefore, to the protection of nature."
