Mr. Wilson's grade 3 class will work with another colleague's class at Gordon Terrace to raise environmental awareness and sense of stewardship through ongoing engaging activities involving Sensory Awareness: the 3 R's, the Yellow Fish Program, which will develop into stewardship of the wetland area known as Elizabeth Lake through the auspices of The Land Conservancy; as well as continued involvement in promotion of the restoration of the riparian zone along Joseph Creek in Kinsmen Park an clean up of the area around the Tamarack Mall. This project will work with interested grade 3 and 4 teachers in the Cranbrook area who would like to involve their students in environmental education.
