STREAM TEAM
Salmo Secondary School - (Salmo, BC)
$5,071.00

Stream Team is a youth program that promotes characterization, awareness and stewardship of local watersheds. Team members (14+) attending Salmo Secondary School will receive training and become certified Streamkeepers and participate in hands-on watershed education activities, volunteering their time to help their community become aware of water related issues. Stream Team will benefit the community in many ways including the empowerment of the local youth. Youth will be teaching youth (eachother and Salmo Elementary School students), providing leadership in their community (newsletters, Rivers Day activities) and will be preparing themselves for potential job and post secondary learning possibilities. Stream Team activities will also merge creativity with existing curriculum.
